Winnie Carter “GiGi” passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at her home in Kiln, MS.
Mrs. Winnie was born in New Orleans, LA, on March 12, 1942, to Roland Flick and Winnie Flick. She graduated from Bay High School and retired from school teaching after many years of service at Gulfview Elementary School and Hancock High School. Her favorite past time was playing games and looking at Facebook on her computer. She also enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Winnie was preceded in death by her parents; son, Barry Carver; brother, Roland Flick; brother-in-law, Timmy Carter, Sr. and sister-in-law, Missy Carter.
She is survived by her husband, Alan Carter; daughter, Bridget Ladner (Jody); grandchildren, Brittney Parker (Cody), Destre Ladner (Kimberly); great grandchildren, Brayden Ladner, Faithlynn Ladner, Railyn Parker, River Ladner, Brielle Ladner, Tyler Fox, Trevor Fox; brother-in-law, Gary Smith, and Wayne Carter (Peaches). Also, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 11:30am until 1:00pm, Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home, 110 S. Necaise Avenue, Bay St. Louis, MS, a graveside service, and burial will follow at Bayou Caddy Cemetery, Bay St. Louis, MS.
