William “Billy” Ladner, 83, of Necaise, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2026, in Poplarville.

Billy was born on August 1, 1943, in New Orleans to the late Forrest and Erma Bourgeois Ladner. He was raised in Lakeshore, the place that always held his heart, he eventually made Necaise his home, where he lived his married life and built a lifetime of memories with his family. A proud graduate of Bay High School, Billy spent much of his life working as a farmer, dedicating many years to maintenance work with the Hancock County School District.

Billy was a hardworking man who took great pride in working with his hands and caring for his family, farm and livestock. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially bird hunting, rabbit hunting and working on jukeboxes. His love for farming and his livestock was an important part of both his life and livelihood.

Above all, Billy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories and touched the lives of many through his kindness, hard work and devotion to those he loved. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Erma Bourgeois Ladner; and his siblings, Lois Kelly (Norvin), Jerry Ladner and Kirk Ladner.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Georgie Ladner; his children, Dinah (Mikey) Cuevas, Dwight Hendricks, Donald Hendricks and Denise Seawright; his grandchildren, Blake, Kyle, Karigen, Anthony, Karen, Neisha, Kayla, Stacy, Courtney and Kristen; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sister, Gaynell Roberts (Carlton), sister-in-law, Gayle Ladner, and his godchild, Ronnie Ladner.

Funeral services will be held from 2 p.m – 8 p.m. on Monday, August 24, 2026, at Lakeshore Community Center, located at 6440 Lower Bay Road, Bay St. Louis, MS 39520.

The family invites friends and loved ones to join them in remembering and celebrating the life of William “Billy” Ladner.
