William "Billy" Cuevas

May 19, 1972 — December 19, 2025

Bay Saint Louis

William “Billy” Cuevas, 53, of Bay Saint Louis died December 19, 2025. He was born May 19, 1972, in Laurel to Lena Jane Page.

He died following a major cardiac event on his wedding anniversary as he and wife, Vickie, traveled for a weekend celebration. His sudden death leaves an enormous void for his family and friends.

Billy was a loving, caring husband, father and friend. A gentle giant of sorts, he had a calm disposition and easy laugh that set all those around him at ease.

Bay Saint Louis is where he lived his entire life, he graduated from Bay High School where he loved to play football and track for those mighty Tigers. After high school he majored in Drafting and attended Pearl River Community College.

He married his soulmate, Victoria “Vickie” Angle in 1993, and they settled in Bay Saint Louis. Their partnership was built on love, respect and a fair amount of teasing and playful banter. Always there was laughter. Over the course of 32 years, they raised and cherished two beautiful children, Kristin and Korey, and more recently welcomed three wonderful grandsons, Ryder, Nash, and Carter. Even though he wasn’t their father, he loved and treasured Andrew Danko, Jennifer Schick, Dajon Ramsey, and Oliver White as if they were his own.

Billy loved his family and made sure they had everything they needed. As a father, he was at the same time firm and soft, a mentor and protector. Those traits carried over to youth sports as well as coaching football, baseball, softball, and basketball teams. While his children were young, if he wasn’t at work, you would find him on a ball field somewhere giving guidance and lifting spirits up. Making sure they knew quitting was not an option and hard work would pay off.

Billy loved his career and was very proud to be a truck driver for over 33 years. He originally started out his career with West Building Materials and then as a subcontractor hauler for 84 Lumber working for two amazing companies White Rhino and then for Wil-Sites Truck Lines. He has gained many friends during this trade, and he wouldn’t trade one interaction with them. He took immense pride as he supervised and challenged drivers to be the best safest drivers they could be. He made sure his fleet was represented and cared for as if it was his own. He would never ask anyone to do something he wasn’t ready to do himself.

He was a reliable, hard worker, and a "jack of all trades" who could fix just about anything. YouTube was his best friend!

Billy was an accomplished cook, and could often be found at the grill, cooking up his specialties like Gumbo, Corn Chowder, and whatever meat he could get his hands on. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt and fish often with Vickie by his side. He loved traveling and seeing the National Parks, the Pacific Northwest, Washington DC, Alaska, and many other locations, but their favorite retreat was to the Smokey Mountains, where they talked about retiring one day.

Billy’s generous nature extended beyond his life as an organ donor. Simply put, Billy made life better. He will be missed greatly.

Billy was preceded in death by his mother, Lena Jane Page, his aunt, Ethel Page, and his uncle (father figure) J W Page.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 30, from 5-7 p.m. at Edmond Fahey, 110 S Necaise Avenue, Bay Saint Louis.
