Uless Joseph Bergeron, Jr.

 Uless Joseph Bergeron, Jr., 85, of Kiln, MS went to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, February 17, 2024. Uless was born in Pass Christian, MS on March 19, 1938. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Bay St. Louis, MS. He graduated from Pearl River Junior College in Poplarville, MS and Trenton School of Jewelry in TN. He also attended MS Southern College. 

He served on the Board of Directors of McCloud Water Park in Hancock County. Uless served in the Mission Service Corp for North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention promoting and enlisting volunteers for both state and overseas service. He did mission work in Kenya, Argentina, Bolivia, and the United States. 

Uless was a First Class Machinist at Struthers Wells Corp in Gulfport, MS,  Eugene Schyngle's Machine Shop in Bay St. Louis and taught Metal Trades at Pearl River Junior College Vocational School in Hancock County. He also worked as jeweler at Seymour's Jewelry and Gift Store in Bay St. Louis. 

In 1990 Uless was employed by the International Mission Board of the SBC and served as a career missionary for 16 years in the country of Peru. While in Peru he was Director of the Peruvian Conference Center, La Finca Bautista in Santa Eulalia. 

Uless loved working out and power lifting; he judged power meets in Cajamarca, Peru. His other great loves were fishing and hunting. 

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Essie Moran who were responsible for raising and were two of the great loves of his life; parents, Uless J. Bergeron, Sr. and Vivan Hart; sister, Marilyn Bergeron, and brother, Jack P. Bergeron.

He is survived by his wonderful and loving wife of 56 years Mary Lee Garcia Bergeron; sister, Carolyn Spencer of Gulfport, MS; two nieces, Connie Bradley of Grand Bay, AL and Tempie Tyler of Gulfport, MS; nephew, Joseph Tyler of Theodore, AL and brother-in-law, George A. Garcia, Jr. of Waveland, MS.
