Timothy “Tim Montana” Schaubhut was born on October 20, 1962, and passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, in Gulfport, Mississippi, at the age of 63.
Tim grew up in Thibodaux, Louisiana, and later graduated in Katy, Texas, before finding his calling in radio. From New Orleans to Houston to the Ozarks, his radio career put him in rooms with country legends like Willie Nelson and behind the scenes of countless shows and events. He interviewed entertainers, produced commercials and comedy, voiced ads, and DJ’d events. A true radio man, he was charismatic, charming, and gifted with words. More than anything, he brought humor into every room and every airwave.
He loved the water as much as he loved connecting with people. Fishing and the ocean brought him peace. In honor of that love, his children celebrated his life together at the beach and plan to spread his ashes in the ocean.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Brenda Schaubhut and Robert Bollinger.
He is survived by his sister, Melissa Brown; his children, Samantha, Kelsey, Alex, and Hannah Schaubhut; his stepsons, Mark and Zachary Williams; and his twelve grandchildren.
Tim’s energy made people feel seen, safe, and valued — a steady kind of love that endured in silence and held through everything. His love for all things—especially his family—ran as deep as the ocean: immense, anchoring, and a living testament to the truth that time is our greatest treasure.
Edmond Fahey Funeral home is honored to serve the family of Timothy “Tim Montana” Schaubhut.
