Susan Ann Held Danko

Susan Ann Held Danko, 77, of Kiln, MS, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026, in Gulfport, MS.

With a radiant spirit and an ever-positive outlook, Susan embraced life to its fullest. Her joy was found in the company of her beloved family and her cherished fur baby, Lucy. A passionate gardener, she thrived among her flowers, spreading warmth and kindness to all she met, transforming strangers into friends. Her love for music, singing, and dancing filled her days with happiness.

Susan dedicated over 40 years to her career at Gulf National Bank and The Peoples Bank, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and commitment.

Preceded in death by her daughters Kelly and Shannon Danko, infant son Danko, grandson Sebastian Danko; parents Edward Frank Jr. and Josephine Pardo Held, sister Geraldine Held; brothers Edward F. Held III and Jules Baumer she leaves behind a legacy of love and strength.

Susan is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, John Danko; son Matthew Danko and his wife Julie; grandchildren Jillian Stone and husband Cody, Jenna Danko, Josie Danko, and Shane Illing; great-grandchildren Oliver and Harper Stone and her cherished dog, Lucy.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
