Stephen Victor Reboul

May 15, 1953 — November 18, 2025

Bay Saint Louis, MS

Stephen Victor Reboul, a longtime resident of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, passed away on November 18th in Gulfport, Mississippi, surrounded by his loving family. He was 72 years old. Steve was born in Dallas, Texas, on May 15, 1953, to his devoted parents, Harvey Crassons Reboul and Alma Elizabeth Ducote, who instilled in him the values of loyalty, generosity, and deep family love that defined his life.

Anyone who knew Steve knew his heart belonged first and always to his family. He lived with a strong, unmistakable personality, one that filled every room he entered. Steve had a natural gift for humor, fun, and storytelling, bringing laughter to gatherings and lightening even the heaviest moments. He treasured every moment spent with his daughters and grandchildren, whether it was a long day of fishing on the boat, cheering from the sidelines, or simply being present for the big and small moments of their lives. Fishing was one of his greatest joys, and some of his happiest memories were made out on the water with friends and family.

After retiring from the New Orleans Police Department, where he served proudly for over 25 years, forming the most meaningful friendships that held through his life, Steve found his second calling in the world of athletics and youth mentorship. He channeled his desire to help others and duty to his community as he took on the role as Athletic Director at Our Lady Academy. He relished the opportunity to be close to his daughters during their formative years and this path led him to his next passion of coaching the OLA Crescent volleyball team, guiding them through numerous state championships. His athletes remember him not just as a coach, but as a steady, enthusiastic, and deeply supportive presence. He held deep affection and pride for the athletes he coached, supporting them with the same dedication and care as his daughters. This time in his life allowed him to grow closer to God and strengthen his faith, bringing him peace and grounding throughout the years.

Steve was also known for his absolute dedication to family traditions, none more cherished than the annual Reboul family reunion on the Fourth of July. His love for the holiday was legendary, and family members who couldn’t attend could expect a handwritten note reminding them of the importance of showing up for one another, something Steve believed in fiercely.

He is survived by his beloved daughters Julie (Josh) Holmes, Lisa Reboul, and Shelly (Ray) Fitzpatrick; their mother, Tracy Reboul; and his adored grandchildren Elijah, Ivy, Nolan, Haiden, Emma, Amelie, and Finley. Steve is also survived by his siblings Susan (Arthur) Hardy, Harvey (Kathy) Reboul Jr., Joseph (Emily) Reboul, Patrick (Belinda) Reboul, and Sally (Sam) Jane Reboul. We will miss him dearly.

In lieu of flowers, a legacy scholarship fund for future Our Lady Academy students is being established in his name. Please contact Leigh Chapman or Haleigh Cuevas to make contributions.
