Throughout her life, Sherri pursued a variety of passions. She honed her skills at the prestigious GIA Institute, specializing in fine gems, and enjoyed a successful career in fine jewelry and men’s apparel. She had an adventurous spirit by acquiring an Indianapolis Formula 500 racing license. Also, she held a real estate license. She was also a gourmet chef at the former restaurant Le Chateau in the 70s. Sherri dedicated two decades to JC Penney & Co., where she earned numerous accolades. She enjoyed visiting the Court of Two Sisters in the French Quarter where she worked in her youth.
A lover of nature and the beautiful coastlines, Sherri found great joy in her favorite retreats—Orange Beach and Henderson Point at Pass Christian—as well as the breathtaking beauty of Key West. Her wanderlust also led her to Paris, where she cherished visiting the storied 31 Rue Cambon, home to Coco Chanel’s apartment and the world-famous boutique, admiring the Mona Lisa, and indulging in exquisite meals at Le Voltaire across from the Louvre.
Sherri's zest for life was complemented by her deep appreciation for literary and culinary arts, as she was an avid reader of history and a true gourmet. Her fiery spirit, quick wit, and profound wisdom touched the lives of those around her, and to know her was truly to love her. Sherri’s capacity to give, her warmth, and her unconditional love will forever be cherished by her family and friends. She gave all to those she loved.
