Scott McDonald Beyer Ward

Scott McDonald Beyer Ward, born June 12, 1988, left us on July 7, 2025. A self-taught Renaissance man, Scott is survived by the love of his life, Jess Stone; his devoted parents, Charles Ward Jr. and Holly Taylor Ward; his brother Matt Ward and his wife, Alex; his paternal grandfather, Charles R. Ward Sr.; Mrs. Anne V. Taylor; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Barbara Ware Shippey and Dr. Ellis R. Taylor; his paternal grandmother, Lenore Beyer Ward; and his beloved brother, Christopher Ward.

A native of Southeast Louisiana and a resident of Santa Monica, California, Scott approached nature with reverence and awe. He found joy as a consummate foodie and chef, foraging for mushrooms, fishing for flounder, and planting trees in anticipation of their delicious fruit. His love for new flavors led him to explore specialty groceries and craft culinary creations that delighted many. Scott's thirst for knowledge was insatiable, spanning sports, music, and beyond. He spent countless hours reading, exploring YouTube, and seeking out resources to fuel his quest for growth.

Scott will be remembered as a kind, inquisitive soul whose love for life and nature inspired all who knew him. His legacy endures in the trees he planted, the meals he prepared, and the knowledge he passionately pursued.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Rose De Lima, 301 S. Necaise Ave, Bay St Louis, MS 39520, on September 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Visitation will precede the Mass from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, 304 S. Necaise Ave, Bay St Louis, MS 39520.
