Robert Patrick Hansen, 72, of Long Beach, Mississippi, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024.
Robert was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on May 2, 1952 to Shirley and Erling Hansen. He attended the University of Southern Mississippi for 1 year. He worked in the shipbuilding industry at Bergeron Shipyard. Then he went to Nunez Community College to get his LPN degree. He worked with special needs patients at the Louise Daves Center. Later Robert worked at South Mississippi Regional Center in Long Beach MS where he received employee of the month. He retired at age 62. He loved all things Vikings, fishing, gardening, crawfish boils, animals, plays, and concerts.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley and Erling Hansen; and brother, Michael Hansen.
He is survived by his fiancé, Cheryl Blaize Gascon; son, Christopher (Shelly) Hansen; grandson, Christopher Hansen, Jr.; granddaughter, Melody Hansen; brother, Erling (Cynthia) Hansen, Jr.; niece, Jasmine; nephews, Ray and Pat; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Brian, Mathhue, Sara, and Kayla.
Services will be held at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi on Friday, May 10, 2024. Visitation from 2:00 p.m. till 3:00 p.m. Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m.
