Richard Joseph Melancon, Jr.

Richard "Jerry" Joseph Melancon, Jr., 90, of Diamondhead, Mississippi, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025.

Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Breisacher Melancon; and parents, Richard J. Melancon, Sr. and Violet Melancon.

He is survived by two children, Barbara M. Landry (Stephen) and Sandra M. Odom (David); four grandchildren, Brandon Odom, Stephen Landry (Nicole), Rebecca Lovelace (Michael), and Brian Landry; five great-grandchildren, Joshua Landry (Katherine), Matthew Landry (Samantha), Noah Landry (Julianna), and John Michael and Aly Claire Lovelace; sister, Patricia M. Vonau (Frank); and nieces and nephews.

Interment will take place at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi following a private funeral ceremony.
