Reid Aaron Newman

February 8, 1976 — January 6, 2023

Brooksville, FL

Reid Aaron Newman passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023.

He was born February 8, 1976, in Fort Walton Beach, FL. Reid was 46 years old. After obtaining an Associate Degree in
Information Technology from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, Reid worked as a Senior System Technician at the Silver Slipper Casino Venture LLC for 14 years. He moved with his family to Florida in March of 2021 to be close to his brother Chris and seek new adventures.  He then obtained his Florida real estate license, joined the Tampa Bay Realtor Association, and worked as a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Realty in the North Tampa Office.
Reid was a loving husband, a wonderful father, a terrific son, and a good sibling. He was never afraid to roll up his sleeves and get a job done; that was the Newman way. Reid was a renaissance man and was a master of many trades. He was passionate about his beliefs, inherited his dad’s sense of humor, and loved making memories with his family and friends.
Reid played guitar and enjoyed scuba diving, spearfishing with Chris, and cowboying in their free time. He was an avid gardener; like his father, he loved to cook, smoke meat, barbecue, and of course, host crawfish boils. He will be sadly missed!

He was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Joseph Newman, III; his paternal grandparents, Gilbert Joseph Newman, Jr., and Lilian David Arnold; and his maternal grandparents, Msgt. Herman H. Mayer and Catherine B. Mayer.

Reid is survived by his wife of six years, Brianna Newman; his son, Austin Newman; his daughter, Alexis Newman; his stepson, Clyde Pamplona; his granddaughter, Kenna Rae Smith; his mother, Cheryl Strang, and his stepdad, Dale Strang; his sister, Tanya Marie Fraser, and brother-in-law, Thomas Fraser; his sister-in-law, Rose Newman; and numerous other loved ones, including nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and best friends, Harvey, Brian, and Allan.
