In Loving Memory of Raymond Myers

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Raymond, 77, who passed away on Monday, August 17, 2026, a truly special man who was loved by everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Raymond had a heart of gold and a personality that could light up any room. He was always ready with a joke, a funny story, or that unmistakable laugh that brought smiles to those around him. He had a wonderful way of making people feel comfortable, welcome, and loved. For many of his early years, Raymond dedicated his time and hard work to Twin Pines Skating Rink, and as a school bus driver where he became a familiar and cherished part of the community. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and never hesitated to help anyone who needed him. Helping others was simply part of who he was. In his later years, he found joy in the simple things. He spent the last several years living at and being cared for by the excellent staff of Woodland Village nursing home. There he loved spending time playing cards, Bingo, sharing laughter and companionship with those around him, and he especially enjoyed coloring. Those who knew Raymond will remember him not only for his kindness and generosity, but for his humor, his laughter, and the love he so freely gave. He leaves behind countless memories that will be treasured forever. Though our hearts are broken by his loss, we can find comfort knowing that his life touched so many people. His jokes, his laughter, his helping hands, and his loving spirit will never be forgotten. He was deeply loved, and he will be deeply missed. Rest peacefully, Brother, Uncle and Friend. Your laughter will live on in our hearts forever.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Opal Mae Brewer Myers and Claude Dupont Myers, Sr; two brothers, Claude Dupont Myers and Roger Dale Myers; and sister, Catherine Dolores Myers Armstrong. He is survived by two brothers, James "Jimmy" Stephenson Myers and Earl Gene Myers (Brenda); eight nieces, Catherine Mary Armstrong Keller, Carolyn Ann Armstrong, Margaret Myers Furey, Sharon Lynn Myers Harazin, Mary Anne Myers Cade, Susan Myers Rodriguez, Tiffany Kay Myers Jenkins, and Sarah Michelle Myers House; two nephews, Charles Robert Armstrong, II, and Daniel Earl Myers; and numerous cousins, family, and friends.
