d. May 9, 2026

Bay St. Louis

Randall "Randy" R. Ingersoll of Lakeshore, Mississippi, was born on July 20, 1961, and passed from this world on May 9, 2026. A beloved husband, father, brother, and friend to many, Randy is now reunited with his son, Robert, whom he deeply missed and longed to be with again.

Randy was a dedicated husband and father to Sheila, Robert and Steven. He was a selfless soul willing to help anyone he came in contact with. Compassionate, devoted, selfless and loving are just the tip of words to describe him. Anyone who had the pleasure of being in his presence understood this wholeheartedly. After graduating high school Randy started his first job at Chevron in the oilfield, 10 years later he continued his career with Greenville Petroleum. After a few years he and his brother jimmy started their company Atlas Production. Years later, being the family man he was, Randy wanted to be home with his boys. He started Randy’s Automotive, working for the community as a diesel mechanic until he retired two years ago. Randy was a true pillar of the Lakeshore community. For the past six years, Randy dedicated much of his life to giving back to the Lakeshore community in honor and memory of his late son, Robert.

Years of selfless dedication has made lasting impacts on so many. To know him was to love him, and love him the community did.

He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Charles Ingersoll; his father, James Robert Ingersoll; mother, Geraldine LaFontaine Ingersoll; his paternal grandparents, James V. Ingersoll and Maggie M. Ingersoll; his maternal grandparents, Sylvester LaFontaine and Mary E. Fayard LaFontaine; his in-laws, Ernest “Bully” Ladner and Velma Ruth Evans Ladner; and his brother, James “Jimmy Boy” Ingersoll.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 36 years, Sheila Ladner Ingersoll; his son, Steven James Ingersoll of Lakeshore, Mississippi; his sister, Debra (Sammy) McCardle of Lakeshore, Mississippi; his brothers-in-laws, Ernest (Lisa) Ladner of Ansley, MS, Coburn (Jeanie) Ladner of Canton, Ohio, and Jody (Bridget) Ladner of Kiln, Mississippi; his sister-in-law, Melissa (Wesley) Moran of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi; his aunt, Sharon Ladner of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi; Anna LaFontaine and Casey Lusich, whom he considered the daughters he never had. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at the Lakeshore Community Center from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., and again Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow at Bayou Caddy Cemetery in Ansley, Mississippi.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Allison Wall for the love, care, and support she provided throughout the years.
