Ralph Pringle

Ralph Wood Pringle, 84, of Gulfport, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. A beloved father, attorney, and passionate sailor, Ralph lived a life full of humor, intelligence, and boundless enthusiasm for the world around him.

Born and raised on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Ralph’s deep connection to the region shaped his life. He attended the University of Mississippi School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctorate, launching a distinguished career as an attorney. Known for his sharp mind and boisterous spirit, Ralph brought warmth and wit to both his professional and personal endeavors.

Ralph’s passions were as vibrant as his personality. He was an avid sailor, finding joy and freedom on the open water, and was a dedicated advocate for youth sailing, inspiring the next generation to embrace the sport he loved. On land, he cultivated beauty through his day lily gardening, creating colorful displays that reflected his love for life. In the kitchen, Ralph was a talented cook, delighting friends and family with his culinary creations.

Ralph is survived by his daughter, Lucinda Pringle; his niece, Maury Pringle McCurdy; nephews, Rev. Gilbert Walker CM, Wallace Lee Seal and wife Elizabeth, and Leo William Seal, III and his wife Farrah; and his cherished Hewes and Pringle family cousins along with numerous friends. His infectious laughter and larger-than-life presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of Ralph’s life will be held at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St Louis May 29, 2025 4-5PM with a reception to follow at Bay Waveland Yacht Club from 5-6. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to BWYC Junior Program in Ralph’s memory and the Maritime and Seafood Industry Museum, honoring his passion for nurturing young sailors and his love for Mississippi Gulf Coast culture.

Ralph Wood Pringle lived with joy, loved fiercely, and left an indelible mark on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. His spirit will continue to sail on in the hearts of those he touched.
