Peter Anthony Breeden, 61, of Hattiesburg, MS died May 29th, 2026. He was born in New Orleans, LA on May 21st, 1965, growing up in New Orleans and on the MS Gulf Coast. He graduated from De La Salle High School and Loyola University. He later attended the University of Sothern Mississippi in Anthropology. He was employed in Customer Service. He was an avid outdoorsman, loving the beach, sailing and being in the woods. He would often be found biking the Long Leaf Trace, canoeing the Leaf and Bowie Rivers and playing Frisbee.

Peter is survived by his three children: Hannah B. "Louis" LeBourgeois (Nick Chapman) of Laurel, MS. Mary H. Breeden and Benjamin P. Breeden of Hattiesburg, MS. He is also survived by his siblings: Robert "Bobby" Breeden, III, Mark A. (Patti) Breeden, Edward "Ned" Breeden, Madeleine (Kevin) Ammentorp, and Rebecca "Becky (Jules) Nunn, and survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert W. Breeden Jr., Madeleine O'Donnell Breeden and brothers Harry and Roger.

A funeral mass will be held Wednesday June 17 at 11:00am at Christ Episcopal Church, 912 South Beach Blvd, Bay Saint Louis, MS. Visitation will be held in the church one hour prior with a reception to follow in the Church's Parish Hall. Interment will be Thursday, June 18 at Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to your favorite charity or Peter's outreach passion- any St. Vincent de Paul Society.
