Patsy Jo Cuevas, aged 77, of Kiln, MS passed away on September 5th 2026. She was born on August 16,1949 in Sibley, LA
She was the cherished daughter of the late Kate Gibson and Thomas McCoy.
Patsy brought warmth, joy, and unconditional love to everyone she met. She was a loving mother who always put her family first, but her favorite and proudest role in life was being a "Mee-maw". She spoiled her grandchildren with endless affection and unconditional love. Outside of family, she was always the life of the party. She loved to play cards, dance, and spend time with her friends, making everyone around her smile. With a passion for caring for others, Patsy completed her degree as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and dedicated herself to helping those in need.
Patsy is preceded in death by her mother and father, her loving husband, Joseph Cuevas and her brothers and sisters.
Left to cherish her memories is her loving daughter, Camelle Williams and her beloved granddaughter, Maycee Williams.
She is also survived by her stepsons: Wayne (Ann) Cuevas and Elbert (Darnell) Cuevas, her step-grandchildren Dean (Rebecca) Cuevas, Dwayne Cuevas, Tara Cuevas (Trey), Nicole Cuevas (Jay), Brittany (Murray) Biegel, Brian (Chesika) Cuevas, Amy Cuevas, Rodney Lee, Tracy (Justina) Lee, along with numerous great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren. She is also fondly remembered by her special friends: Norma Turner, Linda Necaise, Bonnie Ladner, and Flora Necaise, her nephew, Werlin Jr (Sharon) Ladner and multiple cherished friends and extended family members.
Visitation will be held at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church in Perkinston, MS on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. till 12:00 p.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m., with a brief committal ceremony at the burial site to follow at Necaise Crossing Cemetery in Perkinston, MS.
