Mildred Mary Ladner, a cherished member of her family and community, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2025. Born on May 25, 1935, in Pass Christian, MS, she lived a life rich with love, laughter, and devotion to those around her.
Mildred was the beloved wife of the late Vester Ladner, with whom she shared a life filled with warmth and companionship. Her parents, Ceville and Rozenia Necaise whom welcomed her into this world, creating a foundation of love that would carry throughout her life. Additionally her siblings Genevive Ladner, James Necaise, Bertha Henley, Bernie Necaise, and a baby brother, in addition to her son Lester John (Cathy) and grand-daughter Ariel Ladner.
Throughout her years, Mildred was a person who found joy in simple pleasures. She enjoyed finding good deals at Goodwill, relishing the thrill of a bargain. Her love for playing Bingo brought her much happiness, providing opportunities to connect and share laughter with friends and family alike. However, it was her family that remained at the heart of her life. She dedicated countless hours to spending time with her loved ones, creating lasting memories that will be cherished for generations.
Mildred is survived by Louise (Micheal) Moorehead, daughter; Cathy (John) Ladner, daughter-in-law; Elizabeth (Edward) Cuevas; daughter; Timothy (Loraine) Ladner; son; Mary (Johnnie) Hoda, daughter; and Frankie (Joey) Seal, daughter. She was a proud grandmother to ten grandchildren and a doting great-grandmother to seventeen great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy. Additionally, she leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and other loved ones who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
A visitation will be held in her honor on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church in Perkinston, MS. Following the visitation, a Funeral Mass will commence at 12:00 PM, after which interment will take place at Alphonse G Malley Memorial Cemetery in Fenton, MS.
Mildred Mary Ladner will be remembered not only for her infectious spirit but also for the love she fostered, ensuring that her legacy will live on through her family and friends.
