Martha L. Cochran

Martha L. Cochran, 93, of Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi, went to be with her Lord and Savior on the 18th day of June 2025.

Martha was born on December 28, 1931 in Wayne County, MS. She was preceded in death by her husband, O'Neal Cochran, daughter, Betty Frances Krankey, grandson, Raymond John Thomas, and siblings, Mary, Merlene, Houston, Grafton, and Cliff.

She is survived by her daughters, Sherlyn Breland (Larry) and Peggy Thomas (Rod).

For Martha, her family was the most important thing in her life. She had three children, five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and eleven great-great-grandchildren.

Martha retired from Winn Dixie after many years as a cashier.

Her favorite pass-time, if not family and friends, was in her kitchen cooking and baking for her family and friends. Martha loved having family nights (including a spread of food) together.

Martha was a member of Central Bible Church in Bay St. Louis on Longfellow Dr.

The arrangements made are June 24, 2025 at Central Bible Church with visitation at 10:00 a.m. and the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. She will be buried at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Bay St. Louis.

Lastly, the Cochran family would like to give sincere thanks to the staff of Serenity Pearl Living Center in Picayune, MS, the staff of Woodland Village Nursing Facility in Diamondhead, MS, and the staff of Gentiva Hospice team for such awesome service and involvement for her care. Thanks to her doctor and friend, James Crittenden for taking such good care of all her medical needs for many years.
