Mark K. Murphy

Mark K. Murphy died on February 3rd, 2026 at St. Joseph's Hospice in Gulfport, MS surrounded by family and friends. He was born on July 11, 1965 and was a resident of Bay Saint Louis, MS. He served in the United States Army for four years. 

Mark is preceded in death by Dan B. Murphy, father; Helen Murphy Decell, mother; Louis Decell, step-father; Timothy Murphy, brother; Hazel Murphy, daughter. 

Mark is survived by Brandon Murphy, son; Mia Howell, step-daughter; Athena Murphy, granddaughter; Daniel Sierra, step-grandson; Martha Howell, Beverly Grogg (Norman and Toni), sisters; Ken Murphy (Tina), brother; Ray Murphy (Claudia), brother; Rocky Murphy (Joanie), brother; Mary Collins (Mike), sister; Danelle Ramsel, sister; Glen and Julie Maucick, best friends; along with numerous nieces and nephews. 

Mark enjoyed metal scrapping and fishing. He was also and avid story teller of his life adventures. 

A visitation will be held at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church on February 11, 2026 from 10:00am-12:00pm with a funeral mass at 12:00pm. A graveside service will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Bay Saint Louis, MS.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests mass intentions for Mark or their choice of a loved one.
