Maclovia Garcia-Chavez

Maclovia Garcia-Chavez, born on December 29, 1928, in Los Culebros, Jalisco, Mexico, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025, in Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi. She was a beloved figure and will be missed deeply by her family and friends.

Maclovia was a joyful presence in the lives of her children: Juan Garcia, Golla Garcia, Juvenal Garcia, Ruben Garcia, Carlos Garcia, and Juan-Manuel Garcia. Her love extended to her grandchildren, including Lilian, Blanca, Raquel, Ilse, Yolanda, Maria, Miguel, Juan-Miguel, Cristian, Carla, Christopher, Juvenal, America, Antonio, Ruben, Kiera, Lily, Carlos Francisco, Adrianna, Augustine, Andres, Jasper, and great-grandchildren Shawn-Miguel, Lincoln, Belen, Connor, Angel, Miguel, Giovanni, Luna, Don-Calvin, August, and Maclovia.

She was predeceased by her father, Antonio Chavez, her mother, Angel Chavez, and her husband, Miguel Garcia. She also mourned the loss of her son, Luis Garcia, and her siblings, including brothers Salvador, Antonio, Marcelino, Ramiro, Jose, and sisters Maria and Esperanza.

Maclovia's memorial service will be held on November 9, 2025, at St. Rose De Lima Church in Bay St. Louis, MS, beginning at 12:00 PM. Following the service, she will be inurned at Gulf Coast Memorial Cemetery.

Her warm spirit and loving heart will forever remain in the memories of those she leaves behind.
