Lawrence Emanuel Starita, Jr.

Lawrence Emmanuel "Skip" Starita Jr., 82, of Pass Christian, Mississippi, passed away in Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi, on Sunday, August 30, 2026.

Skip was a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast region. He was a very hard worker, and he loved everyone dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence "Skeet" Starita, Sr.

He is survived by his loving wife, Tammie Whitstine Starita; his three daughters, Patricia Starita Slavens of Georgia, Sharon Starita Polk of Gulfport, Mississippi, and Laura Starita of Pass Christian, Mississippi; his stepson, Curtron Whitstine of Beech Grove, Indiana; his stepdaughter, Alexis Whitstine of Boyce, Louisiana; and several cherished grandchildren who loved their Pawpaw dearly.

The family has entrusted arrangements to Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, under the direction of Christopher O'Keefe.
