Kenneth Wayne Rayborn,71, of Waveland, MS, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, in Waveland, MS. Born in Starkville, Mississippi, he was the beloved son of Talmadge and Rena Jean Rayborn.
Kenneth graduated from Bay High School in 1973 and continued his education at Pearl River Community College and Mississippi State University. A proud member of the Mississippi State Marching Band from 1981 to 1983, he also served his country honorably in the United States Navy from June 1975 until June 1980.
Throughout his career, Kenneth worked as a Computer Operations Manager with various government contracting companies in Pensacola, Florida, from 1987 to 2000. He later served as a Task Lead and Facilities Manager with the Defense Financial Accounting System in Pensacola from 2000 to 2007.
Kenneth had a deep passion for music and enjoyed playing the bass guitar. During the 1990s, he was an active member of the Praise Band at East Brent Baptist Church in Pensacola, where he shared his musical talents with the community.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Talmadge and Rena Jean Rayborn, and his infant brother, Dave Rayborn.
He is survived by his cherished wife, Mary Ramond Rayborn; his three children, Payton ReAnn Rayborn and Brennan Shane Rayborn of Waveland, MS, and Jennifer Rayborn of Kansas City, MO; along with two sisters, Gail Rayborn Carr of Bay St. Louis, MS, and Sandra Rayborn Gallups of Birmingham, AL.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Shayna Ellis, Renaldo Jordon, Jennifer James, and Diane Ramos of Vital Caring Hospice for their compassionate care during Kenneth's final days.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorial donations to be made to the First Baptist Church Student Ministry Scholarship Fund or the First Baptist Church Backpack Buddies Program, located at 141 Main Street, Bay St. Louis, MS.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, at First Baptist Church in Bay St. Louis, MS, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., followed by a Prayer Service at 11:00 a.m.
