Juanita Mae Giveans Dedeaux

Juanita Mae Giveans Dedeaux, 88, of Bay St. Louis, MS passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2026, in Waveland, MS.

 A beloved member of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church, Juanita’s radiant spirit touched all who knew her, shining most brightly through her profound love for family and her zest for life.

Juanita’s joyful soul was beautifully expressed in the treasured moments of her earlier years, from exhilarating camping adventures to lively nights dancing to her favorite bands at the casino. 

She was preceded in death by her dear first husband, Andrew J. Giveans, Sr., her second husband, Thomas J. Dedeaux, her parents Dewey J. Meyers and Selma Ruth Richardson Carver, stepfather Harry S. Carver, and her brother Sidney Joseph Carver.

Juanita’s enduring legacy lives on through her beloved family: her son, Andrew J. Giveans, Jr. of Jackson, Mississippi; her daughter, Angelle Giveans Seymour of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi; six devoted grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren, with one precious new arrival eagerly awaited; and her sister, Gloria Meyers Strong.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. A funeral service will follow immediately, with interment to be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Bay St. Louis.
