Joseph Reuther III

Joseph Reuther III, age of 74, of Bay St. Louis, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.

Mr. Reuther was a longtime resident of the Gulf Coast who was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to tell his stories and listen to everyone else's. He was a master carpenter who loved to build everything that came to his mind, or from ideas from others that were brought to him to bring their vision to life.

Mr. Reuther was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph II and Daisy Reuther, and also his brother Charles Reuther.

Survivors include, Rebecca Fortenberry of 33 years, loving children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and longtime friends.

Anglers Prayer: God grant that I may fish until my dying day. And when it comes to my last cast, I then most humble pray. When in the Lord's safe landing net, I'm peacefully asleep, that in his mercy, I be judged, as big enough to keep.
