Jimmy Dale Ladner, Sr. 73, of Kiln, MS passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025 in Gulfport, MS.

Jimmy was much more than the owner of the Dedeaux Country Club; he was a beloved figure in our community—a genuine and kind soul whose big heart touched the lives of all who had the privilege to know him. His passions for fishing, basketball, and sharing wonderful stories were only outdone by his love for family, which was the cornerstone of his life. Jimmy's warmth radiated through his ever-present smile, capturing the essence of his generous spirit.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Ladner, Jr.; mother, Loretta Mae Peterson Ladner; daughter, Jessica Darlene Ladner; step-granddaughter, Derica Ladner; brother, Baby Boy Ladner and special cousin, Regina Cuevas.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy of Kiln; five children, Jimmy, Jr. (Angel) of Peterstown, WV, George "Tony" (Amity) of Gulfport, Tonya (Jacob) of Perkinston; Steven (Janet) of Kiln, and Patrick (Beth) of Diamondhead; stepson, Shawn Ladner of Kiln; brother, Larry Sr. (Cindy) of Gulfport; two foster brothers, Pokey and Hubert (Abear); fourteen grandchildren, Mackenzie, Levi, Chase, Courtney, Latisha, Jeffrey, Shalmara, Brayden, Madison, Clorissa, Carter, Christian, Lawrence, and James; three step grandchildren, Sheldon, Jerica, and Emily; ten great-grandchildren; two nephews, Larry Ladner, Jr. (Michelle), and Chris Ladner (Desireah); niece, Mitzi Hoda (Scotty); thirteen great nieces and nephews and his special friend, Rick Story.

A private service will be held in the near future to celebrate Jimmy's remarkable life in a setting close to his heart. His warmth, laughter, and unwavering love will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
