James E. La Vergne, Jr.
James E. La Vergne Jr., 81, of Picayune, Mississippi, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2023.
James was a police officer for the New Orleans Police Department for 22 years and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.
James was preceded in death by his parents, James and Althea La Vergne; and step-son, Jamie Mack.
He is survived by his wife, Martha La Vergne; daughter, Shawn La Vergne; three step-daughters, Angela Fisk (Glen), Barbara Mack, and Vicki Garner; six step-grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
