Helen Ruth Watkins

Helen "Ruthie" Watkins, 66, of Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025.

Ruthie was born on December 3, 1958 in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Albert and Shirley Gauley.

Ruthie was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Lee Watkins; and sister, Cynthia Arnold.

She is survived by two sons, Mikel Watkins and Larry Watkins; four grandchildren, Gwendolyn Watkins, Samuel Watkins, Mayleigh Watkins, and Raeleigh Watkins; brother, James "Jimmy" Gauley (Karen); and five step-siblings, Minnie, Joe, Robin, Oscar, and Jessie.

The family will hold a memorial service at a later date, and interment will take place in Rotten Bayou Cemetery, Diamondhead, MS.
