Gerald Winston Scafidi

Gerald “Jerry” Winston Scafidi, 82, of Bay St. Louis, MS passed away Sunday, August 11, 2024 in Gulfport, MS.

Jerry served in the United States Coast Guard and Civil Air Patrol. He was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. 

He loved Aviation, Snow Skiing, Boating, and Traveling/vacationing to Costa Rica.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, August J. and Audrey A. Scafidi, Sr.; brother, August J. Scafidi, Jr., and son-in-law, Ernie J. Zimmerman.

Survived by two daughters, Donna Scafidi Pennisson and her husband, Jay M. Pennisson and Kim Scafidi Zimmerman; four granddaughters, Rebecca C. Pennisson, Caitlyn R. Pennisson, Rachael M. Zimmerman, and Gabrielle M. Zimmerman; two great grandsons, Zayn J. Kharuf and Kainan W. Kharuf; and two grandson-in-law’s, Sharif M. Kharuf and Rayhan S. Jameel.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

A Memorial Mass will be Friday, August 16, 2024 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church 9062 Kiln-Delisle Rd, Pass Christian, MS 39571 at 1:30 pm. The family will receive guests from 12:30 pm until Mass. A Committal Service will follow at Waveland Cemetery on Dufour Road in Waveland.
