George Ray LaFontaine, 79 of Bay St. Louis, MS passed away Tuesday, September, 6, 2022 in Hammond, LA.
George was a member of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Bay St. Louis, MS. He enjoyed building, camping, fishing and family get-togethers.
He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother who will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Edward and Lillian Oliver LaFontaine; son, David Allen LaFontaine and daughter, Julie Ann LaFontaine.
He is survived by his wonderful and loving wife of 60 years, Marian LaFontaine; daughter, Leisa Meador (Brian); three sons, Rodney LaFontaine (Wendy), Mark LaFontaine (Katie), and Timmy LaFontaine (Sheila); brother, Burt LaFontaine (Agatha); seven grandsons; five granddaughters and eight great-grands.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to Alzheimer's Association: 225 N. Michigan Ave. Floor 17 Chicago, IL 60601.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Bay St. Louis at 11:00 a.m. with a burial to follow at Cedar Rest Cemetery in Bay St. Louis, MS.
