George “Andy” Anderson Jr. passed away Tuesday, December 01, 2021 in Bay St. Louis, MS at the age of 75 after a sudden illness.
Andy was born on September 3, 1946 in Bay St. Louis, MS. Andy’s passion was classic cars. Andy retired from South Central Bell after many years of service. Andy had enthusiasm for restoring classic cars and always fixed them with the ultimate labor of love, requiring time, patience, skill and of course, a good garage with the right tools, which he was known for at his one-stop shop in his home in Milton, FL. His happiest moments were family gatherings, social events, especially classic car shows and any opportunity he could get to share his love for cooking with his family and friends. Andy happily spent the last two and half years of his life with his love Paulette Myers Rutherford and her three daughters Madison, Taylor and Lanie. Andy will be gravely missed by his beloved giant fur baby Boudreaux. Andy was loved by many and will be forever missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Anderson Sr., his mother, Yvette Telhaird Anderson and his grandson, ‘Baby’ Brent Anderson II.
Andy is survived by his children, Stacey Anderson Ladner, (husband) Brett; Brent Anderson, (wife) Maureen; brother Marcel Anderson & wife, Barbara; grandchildren, Brett ‘BJ’, Gabrielle, Carleigh, Ethan, Blair, Jaxson, Bree and Leighton and countless friends who loved him throughout his life. Visitation will be held Friday December 10, 2021 at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis, MS from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with private family burial to follow.
