Frank Joseph Willoz, Jr., 76, of Bay St Louis, MS, passed away in his home on Saturday, August 8, 2026.

Frank was born on November 4, 1949 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Frank Joseph Willoz, Sr. & Irene Dufour Willoz. He lived a life marked by athletic achievement, public service, leadership, and an enduring devotion to family and friends. Raised in St. Bernard Parish, Frank graduated from Chalmette High School in 1967, where he played baseball. His talent carried him to the University of Southern Mississippi, where he became a member of the Southern Miss baseball program. In 1969, Frank led the team in pitching appearances, taking the mound 13 times during the season. Following college, Frank embarked upon a career in law enforcement with the New Orleans Police Department. His dedication and leadership earned him promotion to the rank of Sergeant by 1977. Athletics remained an important part of his life throughout his police career, and he competed with NOPD and Police Mutual Benevolent Association athletic teams, including touch football. Away from police work, Frank maintained a lifelong interest in the American West and Western tradition.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Joseph Willoz, Sr. & Irene Barbara Dufour Willoz; and brother, Glenn David Willoz survived by Della. He is survived by his children, Frank Joseph Willoz, III (Kelly), Mindee Willoz Wilson (Brandon), and their mother, Pam; ten grandchildren, Frankie, Holly (Bruce), Prestin (Trinity), Peytin (Chris), Brandon (Hannah), Jeremy (Hayley), Bryce, Ivy, Brooklyn, and Breez; eight great-grandchildren, Haze, Everly, Brinley, Brailynn, Mercy, Kylie, Prestin, II, and Milan; sister, Daphne Willoz Hilton (widowed by Ray); sister-in-law, Della Willoz (widow of Glenn); two nieces, Staci and Shellie (Darral); and a great-niece and great-nephews.

A special thank you to Mike (Kay) & Herb for their unwavering support throughout his illness.

Services will be held at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home, 110 S. Necaise Ave., Bay St. Louis, MS 39520, on Saturday, August 15, 2026, with visitation at 9:30 a.m., funeral at 11:30 a.m., followed by interment in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Bay St. Louis, MS.
