Edwin Lee Dawsey, beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away on July 5, 2026, in Covington, Louisiana. He was born on May 28, 1971, in Picayune, Mississippi. His life was marked by a steadfast devotion to his family, faith, and profession.

Edwin’s love for his family was the cornerstone of his life. He is survived by his wife, Brandi Dawsey, and their two sons, Zack Dawsey and Cole Dawsey, for whom he was endlessly proud and supportive. His strength and guidance were pillars for his sons, always offering solutions and helping them navigate life’s challenges. Edwin’s father, Buddy Dawsey, also survives him, as do his sisters, Dawn Faucheaux and Lesha Misita, who will remember Edwin’s unwavering support and willingness to help family and friends alike. He was predeceased by his mother, Donnette Fricke, whose memory remained close to his heart.

Edwin was a dedicated professional, working as an aircraft mechanic from 2002 until his passing. From 2017 to 2022, he served as Operations Manager of West Memphis Municipal Airport, a position that spoke to his expertise, leadership, and commitment to excellence. His colleagues benefited from his steady reliability and kind spirit.

A proud veteran, Edwin served in the United States Air Force from 1989 to 1993, where the values of discipline, honor, and camaraderie helped shape the life he led. His service continued to inform his character throughout the years, as he shared the values he held dear with his loved ones and community.

Faith was central to Edwin’s daily life. He began each day reading scripture and found comfort and strength in prayer, often sharing that devotion with his family. These routines spoke volumes about the depth of his beliefs and the role of spirituality in how he approached every aspect of life.

Those who knew Edwin best remember him as faithful, loving, and selfless. Whether it was his early morning scripture readings or his willingness to pray and support those around him, Edwin lived by example, showing those he loved the value of kindness, understanding, and perseverance. He found fulfillment in helping his family and friends, always present and ready to lend a hand or a wise word.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service honoring the life of Edwin Lee Dawsey on July 11, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. The service will be held at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home, located at 110 S. Necaise Ave, Bay St. Louis, Mississippi.
