Edmond Francis Fahey, Jr. died Thursday A.M.
All Bay St. Louis was shocked on Thursday morning when it was learned that Edmond F. Fahey, Jr. had died at 5:57 that morning. Although "Junior" had been ill for some time there was always a hope that he would recover and those closest to him did not fully realize until just before the end that death was so near.
He was 29 years of age and was one of our native boys, the son of Mrs. Edmond F. Fahey and the late Mr. Fahey. He was a graduate of St. Stanislaus and of the Gupton Jones School of Embalming at Nashville and was head of the Fahey Mortuary Service here, since his father's death.
He leaves his wife Mrs. Princess Tognotti Fahey, Jr. and a son Edmond F. Fahey III, a sister Mrs. George di Benedetto, besides his mother. He was a nephew of Rev. Father Leo Fahey now of Hattiesburg. He also leaves several aunts and uncles.
"Junior" was a luvable character and even in his youth had a keen sense of appreciation and deep understanding of the sorrow for others. He was a devout member of the Catholic Church. Words are not adequate to pay tribute to him. To know him was to love him.
Funeral Services will be held this Friday morning at 10:00 o'clock, with Requiem High Mass at Our Lady of the Gulf Church.

Funeral for Edmond F. Fahey, Jr. Thursday
Funeral services were held here Friday morning for Edmond F. Fahey who died at an early hour on Thursday morning. On Thursday night the members of the Pere LeDue Council of Knights of Columbus met and recited the Rosary and prayers for the dead led by Rt. Reverend Monsignor A. J. Gmelch, at the Fahey Funeral Home. On Friday morning services were held at the mortuary by Rev. Father Desmond and a requiem High Mass was held at 10 o'clock at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church with Rev. Father Leo F. Fahey, as the Celebrant.
Interment was in St. Mary's cemetery. Pallbearers were eight Brothers of the Sacred Heart, members of the faculty of St. Stanislaus, the school of which "Junior" was a graduate. They were Brothers Alban, Reginald, John, Jules, Felician, Timothy, Walter, and Adalbert.
"Junior" had one of the largest funerals held in this town and the floral offerings were many and care and were mute testimonials of the love borne him. May we quote a remark of a man who knew him well. "I have never known anyone who had more friends." Can more be said of anyone for your friends are the best judges of you. The comfort to those left is that he has left so much to be remembered by.
