Dessie was born on August 24, 1942, in Midland, Texas, to Charles Dickens and Doris Toups. Throughout her life, she was part of a family whose bonds and memories will continue to live on through the generations.

Being a grandmother was a special part of Dessie’s life, and her family will forever cherish the memories they shared with her. With 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, she leaves behind generations of family who will continue to carry her memory in their hearts. A grandmother’s love is a gift that lasts a lifetime, and the memories and love she leaves behind will continue to live on through each generation. Though she will be deeply missed, her place in the hearts of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren will never be forgotten.

Though her passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved her, the memories she leaves behind will remain a lasting source of comfort. Her life was part of a much larger family story, one that will continue to be shared through the memories, traditions, and love passed down to future generations.

Dessie will be remembered and deeply missed by her family and all those whose lives she touched. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with her loved ones who went before her.
