David "Dave" Michael Kent

David "Dave" Michael Kent, born on June 28, 1959, in Albany, New York, passed away on January 7, 2026, in Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi. He was known for his love of life and passions that included New York Giants football, New York Yankees baseball, and enjoying a cold Miller Lite.

Dave's educational journey culminated in earning his GED. Throughout his life, he formed deep connections with those around him. He leaves behind his loving family, including his wife, Prima Denise Shiyou Kent; his mother, Geraldyn Kent; his children, David Kent Jr., Randy Nichols, Colleena Kent, and Chasity Shenandoah; and his grandchildren, Kihlee Edwards, Gage, Weston, Kimber, Oliva, and Jackson. He also shared his life with his brothers, Ronald, Bill, Eddie, and Steve, as well as his beloved pets, Bear, Buck, and Snoopy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Kent, and his son, Justin Nichols.

A visitation to celebrate Dave's life will be held on January 12, 2026, from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis, followed by a funeral service starting at 12:00 PM. Immediately after the service, he will be laid to rest at Rotten Bayou Cemetery in Diamondhead, with the burial commencing at 1:30 PM.

Dave will be remembered for his infectious spirit and the joy he brought to those who knew him.
