Danae Marie Lovell-Potter

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Danae Marie Lovell-Potter, age 38, on Sunday, June 1, 2025. Danae was born January 25, 1987, in Sparta, TN. She brought light, laughter, and warmth to everyone who had the joy of knowing her. A one-of-a-kind voice.

Danae never met a stranger. Her open heart, genuine curiosity, and welcoming spirit made others feel at ease instantly. Whether a close friend or passing acquaintance, everyone left her presence feeling seen and valued.

She will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, infectious laughter, and boundless creativity. Danae had a deep love for spending time with family and friends, and her passions -dragonflies, musicals, arts, and crafts- reflected the joy and color she brought into the world. She had a natural gift of making others laugh, her warmth lit up every room she entered. Her presence was a source of comfort and joy, to many.

She is lovingly survived by her devoted husband, River Potter, cherished son, Silas Potter, mother, Sayann Lovell, father, John Hingle, sister, Shana Strickland, bother-in-law, Dustin Strickland, grandmother, Eugenia Lovell, mother-in-law, Linda Lightell, sisters-in-law, Dawn Scones, Akai Lightell, Jolynn Lightell, Miko Reidy. She was loved by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dale Lovell, grandmother, Catherine Butler, grandfather, William “Buddy” Butler, grandfather, Eugene Lovell, grandmother, Claire Hingle, grandfather, Alden Hingle, Uncle, Robert Butler, Uncle, Robert Mcclellan (Paran), Aunt Mona Rae Lovell.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 27, 2025, at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis, MS from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m. to celebrate Danae’s life. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor her life, share memories, and find comfort in community.

Danae’s life was a beautiful example of love, laughter, and creativity. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
