Colin Golder
July 24, 1948~ October 25, 2023

It is with deep sorrow that we announce our brother, uncle, nephew and dad, Colin Golder passed away at the Ochsner Handcock Medical Center in Bay St. Louis, MS, in the morning hours of Wednesday, October 25, 2023, after falling in his home.
Canadian born Colin loved retirement in his American home located next to The Club at Diamondhead Golf Resort, his golfing buddies and all the special friends he made not just in the Diamondhead area but throughout the United States as he travelled with his job for over 30 plus years.
Colin arrived into the world on July 24, 1948, in Woodstock, N.B. And they knew he was going to be different from the rest of his siblings as he grew taller than anyone, poker straight blonde hair instead of curly like the rest of his siblings and he just looked different. It was going to be a ride like no other with this one. He was, and he did. He had an exciting life with plenty of adventures and for sure, lots of laughter.
Colin was the special dad of Matthew ‘Matt’ Douglas Hill (Jessie Shields) of Calgary, Alberta and lasting friend of Marilyn Hill, mother of Matt from Calgary, Alberta. He was loved by all of the Hill Family.
He was the beloved brother and fondly remembered as the stubborn-comedian-one by Hazen (Jane) Nanaimo, B.C., Dianna (Charles Hachey) Bathurst, NB, Liz (Ron LeDrew) Harbour Grace, NL and Harley (Faye) Burns Lake, B.C.
Colin was predeceased by his parents Hazen (1996) and Vicki (2016) and by his brothers Herbie (1963), Paul (2012) and Frank (2020). His grandparents; Herbert Lee and Henrietta Golder of Lakeville, NB and Victoria Mary and Frederick Pickering of Birkenhead, England.
He will also be remembered by, the Golder Clan: 13 nieces/nephews, 20 great-nieces/nephews; Uncle Carl and Aunt Sandra of Woodstock, NB.; Aunts, Pauline Golder of Sault Ste Marie, ON and Audrey Golder of Sudbery, ON and many cousins in Canada, USA and England. Also survived by sister-in-law’s; Diane Golder, Anne Bednarz and Nola Golder. And always in their thoughts and hearts, his former wife’s Krista Marshall, Toronto, ON, and Terri Golder of Clovis, New Mexico.
Final arrangements have been entrusted to Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis, MS. A Celebration of Life with his son Matt and Colin’s many friends in Diamondhead and beyond will be Sunday, October 29, 2023 at The Club at Diamondhead Golf Resort in Diamondhead, MS at 4:00 pm and Monday October 30, 2023 at Dempsey’s Seafood & Steak in Kiln, MS at 5:00 pm.  His ashes will be laid to rest alongside his late brothers Herbie and Frank on Manitoulin Island with a Graveside Service and Celebration of Life at a later date to be announced.
In memory of our Colin please consider a donation to the Kiln Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 6285 16111 VFW Road Kiln, MS 36556.
