Clifford Anthony Green Jr. passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026, at the home he built for his family in Pass Christian, Mississippi, after bravely fighting his battle with cancer.
Born on October 17, 1957, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Clifford grew up in Bucktown, Louisiana, and graduated from East Jefferson High School. His service to his country as a United States Navy Seabee from 1978 to 1983, followed by years in reserve, was a point of pride for him.
Clifford was also a dedicated sheet metal worker and a proud member of Union Local #214. After retiring, he devoted himself to his faith as an active member of the Knights of Columbus, Pere Le Duc Council #1522, where his leadership and integrity shone through in his service to the church and community. Additionally, he greatly contributed to the Mississippi Combat Training Academy, where he passionately engaged in his work.
Known for his kindness and unwavering devotion to family, Clifford captured precious moments with his passion for photography, creating lasting memories for his loved ones. Music filled his life, inspiring those around him with its joy and vibrancy. He cherished his roles as a father for 47 years and as a Grampy for 24.
Clifford was preceded in death by his beloved son, Derek Green; his parents, Clifford Anthony and Myrl Sanchez Green, Sr.; his brother, John "Jack" Green; and his sister, Tonya Green.
He is survived by his wonderful and loving wife of 48 years, Kathleen Green; two daughters, Desiree Bell (Phillip) and Michelle Hatcher; five cherished grandchildren, Sophia Daigle, Avery Bell, Emma Peterson, Maxwell Bell, and Dean Hatcher; six siblings, Patricia Schenck (the late-Ernie), Norma Larrieu (John), Debbie Swain (Ray), Melanie Lopez (the late-Jose'), Giselle Green Casey Nicholson (Martin) and Michael Green and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m. A private burial will be held at Biloxi National Cemetery in Biloxi, MS.
