Calvin Stewart Moyer

Calvin Stewart Moyer, affectionately known as "Cal our Pal," passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the age of 71 in Bay St. Louis, MS.

Calvin's journey has come to its close and we give thanks for the beautiful life he lived. In Bay St. Louis, he shared his many gifts: shaping stones, working with wood, tending the earth, and creating with his hands. His laid-back spirit taught the quiet lesson that life's true richness is found in simple blessings and daily grace. Gods' peace surrounded him in his final days, and his soul is resting in everlasting light and love.

As a Master Carpenter Builder and a Jack of all Trades, Calvin dedicated his life to his craft, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication. He was a proud patriot, deeply loving his country and valuing the freedoms it offers.

Calvin's zest for life shone through his numerous hobbies. He cherished spending his time outdoors, enjoying activities such as fishing, boating, raising chickens, and feeding wildlife. His passion for music, art, and jewelry making showcased his creative spirit.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Philip Shive Moyer and Constance June April.

He is survived by his beloved son, River Hayden; his sister, Laura; three brothers, Bruce, Phillip, and Matthew; and his cherished fur babies, Fella, Rufus, Rastus, and Casper, affectionately known as "Caspigi."

The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to Deaconess Hospice for their exceptional care and support during this time.

Calvin's warmth, humor, and love for life will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
