Bay Saint Louis, MS

Brennan Joseph Sims, affectionately known as “Porkchop,” 20, of Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2026.

Brennan was born on October 9, 2005 in Sevierville, Tennessee to Keith Sims and Lindsey Fayard. Brennan was a young man with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Brennan had a way of bringing laughter wherever he went and a smile that was impossible to forget. He loved to cook, having taken culinary arts in high school, and dreamed of one day owning his own restaurant. Brennan loved his job and especially enjoyed the people he worked alongside. He had recently begun working in the bakery and deli at Walmart, where in only two days he had already made an impression on his coworkers. Brennan truly enjoyed trips with his family, making memories that will be treasured forever, and he cherished the time he spent with his friends. He also loved fishing and could spend hours on the water, often staying out long enough to watch the sun come up before finally heading home. Brennan wasn’t always the most affectionate person, but when he loved you, you knew it without a doubt. He was a loyal friend, the most loving son, brother, uncle, and grandson, and a genuine soul who will be deeply missed by everyone blessed to have known him. His laughter, his humor, his soft and genuine smile, and the love he gave in his own unique way will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Brennan was preceded in death by his sister, Jessica Lewis; aunt, Amber Fayard; grandfather, David “Pe-paw” Duhon; and great-grandparents, Peggy Sims Ladner “Granny B” (John “Zuzu”Carver), Reginald Fayard Sr., and Roy Sims Sr.
