Breanna Lynell Ainsworth Halley, 32, of Kiln, MS, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2023.
Breanna was a lifelong member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Perkinston, MS. She was a devoted athlete, especially focused on basketball, playing for both Hancock High School and William Carey University. Her love of sports led her to coach high school cross country, track, and basketball at Our Lady Academy and Pass Christian High School. She also loved to shape the lives of local teenagers, which led her into teaching. She taught science and career readiness, both of which were very important to her.
She loved animals, reading, chocolate, blue Icees, traveling, and loved being in nature, especially on a boat in the Gulf. She loved her family and friends and would do anything for them. She touched many lives and loved to mentor others. The outpouring of love from so many has made evident her selflessness. She truly put the consideration of others above her own.
Breanna is preceded in death by her child, Baby Halley, who passed away during Breanna’s first trimester of pregnancy; and grandparents, Darryl and Lynell Ladner, and grandmother, Elaine Ainsworth.
She is survived by her lucky husband of eight years, Zach Halley; parents, Tracy and Greta Ainsworth; sister, Macey Ainsworth; grandfather, Tilson Earl Ainsworth; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and God-children; and two beloved dogs, Lady and Chewie.
