Bobby "Boz" Lamar Boswell, Sr., 78, of Bay St. Louis, MS, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026, in New Orleans, LA. Boz proudly served in the United States Army from 67-69, demonstrating his dedication to his country he was a proud Vietnam Veteran.
An active member of the Ironworkers Local 58 and American Legion Post 139, Boz was deeply involved in his community and held strong ties with his fellow veterans and union members. His passion for sports and love for riding his motorcycle were just a few of the things that brought joy to his life.
Boz is survived by his three beloved children and their spouses: Lamar Boswell, Jr., Paul Boswell (Lynn), and Aimee Welch (Dwaine). He cherished his role as a grandfather to five grandchildren: Alexis Longo, Brandon Parker, Kaleb Boswell, Gabriel Welch, and Trevor Foy, as well as two great-grandchildren, Vivian Longo and John-Thomas Longo. He will also be remembered by his three brothers, Billy Boswell, Buddy Boswell and Calvin Shaneyfelt and his two sisters, Donna Baughman and Clarice Wischmann.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Lula and Lewis Shaneyfelt, Sr., and his brother, Ronald Shaneyfelt.
A Memorial Ride in honor of Boz will take place on Saturday, February 14, 2026, starting at 10:00 a.m. at the American Legion Post 139, followed by a Celebration of Life at the Lakeshore Community Center.
