Betty Lou Necaise, 86, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026. She was born to Charlie and Norma Lou Bivens in Pontotoc, Mississippi, and made the beautiful Mississippi Gulf Coast her home after moving with her family in 1953.
Betty was the epitome of love and care—as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her gentle spirit and warm heart touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to share moments with her.
Known affectionately as "Ms. Betty the Cake Lady," she was a gifted baker whose creations brought joy to many special occasions. Betty's talent for baking and decorating wedding cakes was unmatched, and she cherished the moments spent teaching her grandchildren the art of baking. Through her hands, she not only crafted cakes but also sweet memories that will last a lifetime.
Together with her beloved husband Vic, she joyfully ran Vic & Betty’s Bargain Shop in Bay St. Louis for many years, where they created a welcoming space for friends and customers alike. Their partnership in life and business was a testament to their enduring love.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her devoted husband Victor Necaise Jr., with whom she shared a beautiful journey of 64 years, and two cherished brothers, Charles and Lowell Bivens.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories in her children: Douglas (Glenda) Necaise, David (Tracey) Necaise, and Cindy (Zachary) Lee, all of Bay St. Louis. Her pride and joy were her six grandchildren—Corey, Carl, Colton, and Chase Necaise, and Taylor Ladner and Payton Lee—and her heart was filled with love for her great-granddaughter, Charli Laine Ladner. Betty is also survived by her brother Clyde (Joelle) Bivens, numerous nieces and nephews, and many lifelong friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.
As we remember Betty Lou Necaise, let us celebrate the immeasurable love she shared and the indelible mark she has left on our lives. Her memory will be cherished, and her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
