Anthony August Marciante, Jr.

Anthony August Marciante, Jr., 71, passed away at his residence in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi on February 28, 2024. 

Anthony was born on May 11, 1952 in New Orleans, LA.

He graduated from West Jefferson High School and attended Nichols State University. He was a member of New Day Christian Center in Livingston Parish, LA. Anthony was an avid drag racer for over 4 decades and looked forward to attending Crusin’ The Coast each year. He enjoyed fishing and being near the water at their camp. He was also a huge animal lover, especially rescues, of which he adopted numerous over the years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Lois Marciante and sister, Linda A. Marciante.

He is survived by his wonderful and loving wife, Kathy Crain Marciante; son, Chad Anthony Marciante (Angelle’) of Houma, LA; daughter; Toni Marciante Schumert (Todd) of Denham Springs, LA; grandchildren; McKenzie Marciante, Jackson Juneau, Annabella Marciante, Rocky Marciante, Lillian Marciante, and Emma Schumert; sister, Kim Bourgeois (Oswald); two nieces, Melissa and Wendy and numerous cousins.
He also leaves behind his four fur babies, Pepper, Charlie, Lil' Mamma, and Scooby.

In lieu of flowers, Anthony’s family requests any donation to be made to the Hancock County Animal Shelter, Humane Society of South Mississippi or any local animal shelter of your choosing.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Anthony’s favorite city, 85 Good Street Bay St. Louis, MS, 39520 on the date of his birth, Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
