Allan Patrick Murphey

On February 12, 2026, Allan Patrick Murphey died peacefully with family at his bedside.

He attended Francis T. Nicholls High School in New Orleans and graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Allan worked in the maritime industry for over 40 years. After retirement he volunteered at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, Mississippi and at the Waveland Ground Zero Hurricane Katrina Museum in Waveland, Mississippi.

He is preceded in death by his father, Elmer J. Murphey, his Mother Aline B. Murphey and his brother Micheal Murphey. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Marilyn Mangiaracina Murphey, His son Joshua Murphey (Erin) and His daughter Rebecca Murphey Jaufre (Glenn) along with his grandchildren, Ruby Jane Murphey, Lucille Aline Murphey and step grandson Pheonix Titus.

His family would like to thank everyone at NeoLife Physical Therapy and Sports Med Physical Therapy as well as Anytime Fitness in Bay St. Louis. They all kept him strong and moving against his battle with Parkinson’s. Also, to his wonderful family at Side-by-Side Respite in Long Beach, Mississippi. Finally, to Memorial Hospital Staff who took care of Allan in his final days.

Services will be held Monday, February 16, 2026 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Pass Christian, MS, with visitation from 9:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m., Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., followed by burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Bay St. Louis, MS.
